Interim Furnishings was founded in 2006 by Sharon MacDonald. It was during her years in real estate that she discovered the effectiveness of real estate staging in helping her clients sell their homes quickly and at a higher profit.

As a realtor, Sharon found it challenging to obtain the temporary furnishings she needed for her staging projects. As the real estate market began to slow and home sales became more difficult, she realized the time was right to open a business geared towards providing flexible furniture solutions for home sellers.

In April of 2006, Interim opened their first showroom in Natick. Interim has since relocated to Central Street in Framingham, MA, and is serving home staging professionals from all over New England.
